Asif Rahman is an adult psychiatrist with a broad range of interests including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, psychotic disorders, autism spectrum disorders and personality disorders. He is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and completed his adult psychiatry residency at the Nassau University Medical Center. He completed a year-long research fellowship with Dr. Hollander, where he developed expertise in the clinical investigation of novel therapeutics in the treatment of autism spectrum disorders and Prader-Willi syndrome. Previously he was recognized by the Society of Biological Psychiatry with the 2018 Chair’s Choice Early Career Investigator award. He currently is pursuing advanced training as a child and adolescent psychiatry fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Rahman is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Society of Biological Psychiatry, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
